Any recommendations for a trustworthy mail provider that supports aliases, (e.g. name+topic@mail.tld)? Only expect a handful of mails per month, so I don't necessarily want to pay more than a couple bucks a year.

rugk @rugk

@jomo supports 2 aliases for free, I think, otherwise 20 cents or so per alias. (Depends on how much aliases you want to use.) Mailbox.org also supports them AFAIK.

That + thing you mention is [one](jameshfisher.com/2018/04/07/th) of the "great" features of GMail (actually taht one may indeed not be bad), but not supported by other mail providers. There you usually have to create aliases manually.

@jomo Otherwise if you just want to use it for unimportant (spam/newsletter/…) mails you can alos use free services, which redirect your mail such as dnt.abine.com/ (look for "Mails" there).

@rugk @jomo Mailbox.org also supports a limited amount of aliases (depending on the plan).
But they consider a @domain.example catchall as one alias, so you can get unlimited aliases on the cheapest plan this way.

@lukas @rugk Perhaps I should have mentioned that I don't want to buy a domain for this mail account… With a domain I'd just use anything with catch-all support.

@lukas @rugk Super! Die kann man auch als Absender verwenden und die Mails landen nicht unnötig in einem Ordner, wenn er nicht existiert. Gibt außerdem Wegwerf-Adressen und das Preismodell passt auch :))
